How Today Tomorrow Studio came to be…
Today Tomorrow Studio was born from a deep belief: that everyone deserves to have images of life’s everyday moments. To pause, even briefly, in your TODAY—for something your TOMORROW self will hold dearly.
Growing up, I (Emelise) loved and still do often look back through the mass amounts of photo albums (yes, physical images!) sitting in my loungeroom cupboard full of special events, random nights at the table eating ice cream, images of outfits from the era (and questioning why I was allowed to wear it) and all the day-to-day events. These everyday images told the story of my childhood. And it’s this feeling—this treasure of looking back—that sparked my love for honest, life-filled portraiture.
It breaks my heart to know that not every family may have the same opportunity to reminisce and speak about the days of growing up. To see the swings they once played on, the cups they used every morning, the favourite outfits that made them feel like superheroes. To see just how small they were standing next to a sibling. The joy. The mess. The love.
What a treasure it is to hear stories from our loved ones, parents, friends or family. There’s something truly special about hearing stories that begin with, "Oh, I remember in that photo…". Because memories can fade—but photos help us bring them back. They spark stories, and those stories keep our souls alive.
The heart behind 'Today Tomorrow' is simple: to offer families a calm, honest space to be themselves. A space to do something they love. To be present. To laugh. To have images made that, in years to come, will help you remember not just what you looked like—but how it all felt at the time. Successful, challenging or the best years of your life.
So, let's take a little time to do something your family loves together and giggle a little, so that you have something to discuss and reminisce about in years to come.

I get so excited thinking about documenting your unique season—whether it’s a quiet afternoon routine, celebrating your bump, capturing the connection between you and your partner, a 1st birthday, or a wander through your favourite park… I’m in!
You can read a little above about the heart behind Today Tomorrow Studio, and I’m looking forward to continuing this vision in the years ahead. Someday soon, I dream of opening a warm, welcoming space where people from all walks of life can come, feel seen, and be captured as they are. Until then, I’ll meet you wherever your story unfolds—your home, the beach, the park, or another spot that feels like “you.”
